Last month, our clients installed our G02 semi-integrated solar street lights in Uganda. But at the very beginning, this project start with some challenges.
Our standard street lights come with smart features that work with time control functions (The lamp works with particular power during particular periods) or PIR sensor mode (the solar light works with full brightness when it detect people, but dim if no people). In this way, it meets the lighting requirments and save a lot of power at the same time.
But our Uganda client Mr. P asked us to offer a non-standard solar street light, that requires the solar lights installed on 7-9 meters height, working with full brightness for 12 hours each night, and 3 autonomy days required.
Our standard solar street lights did not meet these requirements. After discussing with the engineering team, we did the Dialux simulation on computer and found a solution. On the basis of the original standard G02 60W solar street light, the induction function and time control function were removed, a large number of solar panels and batteries were added, and the original 60W was upgraded to 80W. The customer was very satisfied with our proposal and finally confirmed the order.
Mr. P said he needed the lamps very urgent, because he signed contract with customer, if delay there would be penal sum, so he must receive the solar lights within 10 days. Normally, our delivery time is 5-7 days. In order to support Mr. Pratt, we gave priority to this order and the lamps were ready in 3 days. Mr. Pratt even installed the poles before we ship the lamps, so that he can install the solar lights once he receice them.

Uganda need PVOC certificate for importing solar street lights, PVOC is a must-have certificate for customs clearance, otherwise the goods cannot be cleared and the customer cannot pick up the goods. After the solar lamps finished, we urgently contacted the testing organization to arrange sample testing and inspection, and successfully obtained the PVOC test report and certificate. Then the lamps were shipped by air and after 5 days, Mr. P successfully received the solar street light and installed it on the same day.
